27 killed in Kurram Agency clashes

PARACHINAR: At least 27 people were Wednesday killed in clashes between two groups in Kurram Agency.

According to sources, two groups clashed with each other in Kurram Agency area of Mangak, killing 21 people including a commander of a group; while, six from other group were killed.

The most of bodies have been taken to Parachinar. The whole area is tense following the clashes. 

And, a report from Khar says that another primary school has blown up by militants in Bajaur Agency. According to sources, militants set on fire a primary school in Fjja area in Agency’s headquarter Khar. Fifty schools were destroyed in the area during last one year.

On the other hand, security forces search operation continued in Chaharmang area of tehsil Naugai as force took control of several areas. Political administration has beefed up the security throughout the agency.

Meanwhile, one passerby was killed and another person injured in a remote-controlled bomb attack on police mobile in Kotli Imama Hussain area of Dera Ismail Khan.

Police sources said unknown persons targeted a police mobile parked near Imam Bafgah in Kotli Imam Hussain with a remote-controlled bomb. One person was killed while another injured in the attack that was rushed to hospital. The policemen were escaped from the attack.
