ISLAMABAD): Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif called on President Asif Ali Zardari in the Presidency and had lunch with him Friday.

During the meeting political situation of the country was also discussed. Mian Raza Rabbani, Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination was also present during the meeting.

Another report says that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari on Friday here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr and discussed with him overall political and economic situation of the country.

The Prime Minister congratulated the President over successful completion of his visit to United Arab Emirates.

The President apprised him about his interaction with the UAE leadership and meetings with the local investors who evinced keen interest in funding various projects in Pakistan.
