WANA: At least three people were killed by drone’s strike on a suspected vehicle near Kharpul area in South Wazirsitan on Thursday.
Sources said that three people were killed in the attack carried out by suspected U.S. drone, Geo television reports.
Meanwhile, a report from Khar says that the grand Jirga of Salarzai Tribes which met here Thursday decided to form a national Lashkr comprising 20,000 tribesmen to maintain peace in the area.
Eight hundred tribal elders attended the meeting which concluded in Tehsil Headqaurter Pasht.
The Jirga also decided to set up a number of check posts in different locations in the area where volunteers will be deployed while one of such check post has already been set up at Pak-Afghan border where armed volunteers have been stationed.
It was also decided to set on fire the houses of those who harbour militants besides sending them on exile along with their family members and imposing of a fine of Rs2 million.  |
