Demonstrations against polls in India held-Kashmir Today
'Pakistan Times' Kashmir Desk

SRINAGAR (IHK): In occupied Kashmir, anti-polls demonstrations, marked with a complete strike, will be held after Juma prayers today [Friday], a KMS report said on Thursday.

Call for the demonstrations has been given by the Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee, jointly headed by the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and senior Kashmiri Hurriyet leader Syed Ali Gilani.

The two leaders have said that the so-called assembly elections in the territory cannot be a substitute to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

In a separate statement, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq strongly condemned terrorist attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai.

He termed the attacks as a crime against humanity. Meanwhile, the occupation authorities continued to keep the APHC Chairman under house arrest for the fifteenth consecutive day on Thursday.

Another report says that a civilian injured on November 14, this year, in a blast in Kupwara succumbed in a hospital in Srinagar.
