KARACHI: River Indus was in low flood at Guddu with upstream discharge of 259,533 cusecs and 233,415 downstream.

According to Flood situation report the Indus was also in low flood at Sukkur Barrrage where upstream discharge was recorded at 244,444 cusecs and 183,090 cusecs downstream on Friday morning.

The river flow, however, was nortmal at Kotri Barrage where discharge upstream was recorded at 122,580 cusecs upstream and 96,245 cusecs downstream.

According to report the river will remain in low flood at Guddu and Sukkur Barrages during the next 24 hours.

Irrigation department sources said that stone apron along K.K. Bund mile 11/0 has been launched due to active erosion reported by the field officers and dumping of stone process has been accelerated to recoup the damaged portion.
