Bank looted in Quetta

QUETTA: Four unknown armed persons robbed a branch of United Bank situated at Fatima Jinnah Road here Saturday, police and bank officials said.

According to reports, the robbers who were reportedly carrying sophisticated arms snatched the gun from the security guard and decamped after looting an unknown amount of the money.

An official working in the bank said that the amount looted from the bank could be in millions adding that the robbers fled from the scene on foot.

Bank officials were busy in assessing the loss at the time of filing this report.

Area police have registered a case against the robbers and started investigating, the bank officials.●
