ISLAMABAD: Central Working Committee and Parliamentary Party of Pakistan
Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) will meet in Lahore on Thursday.
A PML (N) source said that the leaders of the party will discuss the
situation that had arisen due to delay in restoration of deposed judges.
“We shall thoroughly discuss the issues and chalk-out a comprehensive
strategy to tackle any political situation that might arise ,” the source
said.
Another PML Leader, however, was optimistic that the party would be able to
amicably resolve all issues particularly restoration of judges, with the
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) .
“Neither is there any deadlock nor any coalition partner including the PPP
would go back on Bhurban Accord,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of PML-N Senator Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said on
Wednesday that his party stood for restoration of deposed judges as laid
down in the Murree Declaration.
“There is no deadlock between PPP and PML (N), the judges would be restored
to pre-November 3 status but the matter might get delayed for a few days,”
he told newsmen at the parliament house .
Mr Jhagra said that PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has gone to Dubai to
discuss the matter with PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari.
Iqbal Zafar Jhagra hoped that the chiefs of the two parties would be able to
resolve the issue of restoration of the deposed judges.
“The nation has given us the mandate to ensure restoration of judges and we
will implement it,” he said.● |
