Nawaz-Zardari Meet: Third Round of Vital Talks Today

DUBAI (United Arab Emirates): The third round of ongoing negotiations between the PPP and PML-N in connection with the reinstatement of deposed judges of superior judiciary would be held here today, Thursday.

ARY OneWorld quotes Senior Minister for Communications Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan as saying late on Wednesday that talks between the two coalition partners are continuing on positive track.

With this perspective, both the parties are agreed on most of the points.

However different of opinion still exists on some legal and constitutional issues.

Talks are continuing and PML-N is optimistic on the resolution of the all issues.

He said it has also been decided to postpone the departure of PML-N’s negotiation team to continue the discussions Thursday afternoon.Progress has been made but there are certain issue needs resolution.

Final result of talks is expected today, Thursday.

To recap, the second round of crucial talks between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chief Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Mian Nawaz Sharif is in progress here.

In the first round both the parties agreed to keep their coalition strong like before.

However, no clear or final outcome has by now come to light on the issues – being discussed by the two leaders.

Prior to leaving for Dubai, Mian Nawaz Sharif talking to media said PML-N wants judges reinstatement through an executive order while the PPP opts to link it with the constitutional package.

“Extension in the deadline can be reviewed in case of getting a clear road map,” he said by adding; “we are determined to restore the deposed judiciary.”

Earlier, the first round of crucial talks was over between Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chief Asif Ali Zardari and Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-N, Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Both the parties agreed to keep their coalition intact like before.

Asif Zardari said their coalition has even got stronger than before.

However, no decision came to light in connection with the deadline of judges restoration.

Asif Zardari welcomed Nawaz Sharif when he arrived at the hotel – the venue of the meeting between the two leaders.●
