Revelation of yet another graveyard stunned Kashmiris
'Pakistan Times' Kashmir Desk

In occupied Kashmir, after recent disclosures about 1000 nameless graves in villages surrounding Uri, the revelations about an unidentified graveyard in Bigul Sar forests of Lolab valley have shocked people, fearing that scores of missing persons could be buried there.

It were the shepherds, who actually first noticed the graveyard and later informed locals about it.

"While grazing cattle, I found that there were number of graves. We can call it a graveyard. I also found some boots scattered around and informed few locals about the same." said a shepherd, wishing not to be named.

The residents said that they were shocked to learn about this graveyard in the forests and that there were many sized-up graves, which seemingly have more than a body. People fear that these were mass graves and dozens of people were buried in the graveyard.

A resident of the area said, "As many as 40 graves could be seen and counted in this graveyard in the forests. Since this is an anonymous graveyard, we are afraid that many missing persons are buried here.”

It is pertinent to mention that there is no word about the whereabouts of scores of people who have gone missing in Kupwara villages during early nineties. A good number of people from Lolab villages who visited this graveyard have observed that many graves seem to be only a few weeks old. And this has led to the belief that the graveyard was not too old.●
