Loud explosion heard in Swat

SWAT: Sound of a loud blast heard in Swat city on Monday evening.

An earlier report had said that a rocket has been fired at a police check post in Swat whereas a bomb planted near a quarter of check post in charge has been defused.

Unknown persons fired a rocket at Kokarai police checkpoint in Syeedo Sharif police station jurisdiction that damaged the checkpost. However, no causality was reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, unknown persons planted a bomb near quarter of check post in charge but bomb disposal squad had defused the bomb.

Official sources said that curfew in Swat has been relaxed from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm.●
