Pakistani squad announced for first two ODIs vs Bangladesh

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Selection committee has announced the 16-member squad minus fast bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammed Asif for the first two ODIs against Bangladesh.

Shoaib Malik (Captain), Salman Butt, Nasir Jamshed, Younis Khan, Mohmmed Yousuf, Misbahul Haq, Shahid Afridi, Umer Gul, Sohail Tanvir, Rao Iftikhar, Sohail Khan, Wahab Riaz, Fawwad Alam, Bazaid Khan, Kamran Akmal (wicketkeeper) and Sarfarz Ahmed have been included in the squad.

Fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar was not selected as his case is with PCB disciplinary committee and Mohammed Asif was unfit.

Selection Committee chief Salahud Din said all the players who have performed well in the domestic cricket including Yasir Hameed, Yasir Arafaat, Faisal Iqbal, Nomanullah, Abdur Rauf, Kamran Hussain, Junaid Zia and Yasir Ali Umair Khan, will be considered for the remaining matches of the series.●
