RAWALPINDI: Outgoing caretaker Prim e Minister
Mohammadmian Soomro Monday paid a farewell call on President Pervez
Musharraf here at his Camp Office.
President Musharraf expressed satisfaction over the role played by the
caretaker government in ensuring a smooth transition to the newly elected
representatives adding that it would further strengthen democracy in the
country.
The President appreciated efforts of the caretaker Prime Minister and his
cabinet for holding of free, fair, transparent and peaceful election.
The outgoing caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro thanked the
President for his support in making his task easier.
He assured the President that he would continue to serve the country in
whatever capacity in the future.
Soomro took oath of office as caretaker prime minister on November 16 last
year.
The outgoing caretaker cabinet of NWFP led by caretaker chief minister
Shamsul Mulk also paid a joint farewell call on President Pervez Musharraf
here on Monday.
The President lauded their efforts for smooth running of the government and
for holding free, fair and transparent elections in NWFP.
The members of the outgoing caretaker cabinet thanked President Musharraf
for his support and guidance.● |
