Pakistan captures all 4 titles in Qatar Jr. Squash

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani players captured the titles of individual events of all the four age categories in the Qatar Junior Squash Championship on Saturday.

Pakistani boys won the finals of Under-13, Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 age groups, according to an information available here.

Pakistan Squash Federation had sent two players in each of the four age categories of the championship which attracted juniors from Pakistan, Egypt, Germany, India, Jordan and Qatar.

The team event of the championship will conclude on Tuesday.

In the finals of Individual Events, Ali Bokhari of Pakistan beat Shehab El Hosny of Egypt 9/3,9/2,6/9,7/0 (retired) in 34 Minutes while another Pakistani Nasir Iqbal consumed 28 minutes to dispose of another Egyptian Ahmed Mohamed ElHalim 9/3,9/2,9/2 to claim the Under-15 final.

In the Under-17 final, Farhan Zaman downed his Pakistani compatriot Aurangzeb Mehmund 10/8,9/1,9/0 (32 Minutes) while in Under-19 age group, Waqar Mehboob also overcame fellow Pakistani Shoaib Hassan in full five games 7/9,7/9,9/4,9/7,9/6, taking a marathon 44 Minutes to settle the issue.●
