Mobilink Awards to discover
Pakistan’s pool of world-class Talent

ISLAMABAD: Mobilink, the
country’s leadin g
cellular service provider with more than 30 million customers and part of
Orascom Telecom announced the launch of ‘The Mobilink Awards’ – a
celebration and recognition of the country’s unsung heroes.
These awards are the first of their kind in Pakistan and seek to acknowledge
and recognize excellence in all disciplines. The Mobilink awards are divided
into various categories including; performing and visual arts, liberal arts,
science, commerce, engineering and sports.
Mobilink has an established history as a responsible corporate citizen, and
has already played a pivotal role in recognizing and paying tribute to the
memorable legends of Pakistan, including Noor Jehan, Mehdi Hassan and Farida
Khanum.
Zouhair A. Khaliq, President & CEO, Mobilink, stated “The Mobilink Awards
are about celebrating infinite possibilities that can be achieved by an
individual or an organization when they are wholly committed. We want to
recognize and honor their dedication to excellence and show them as beacons
of hope for the nation”
Bilal Munir Sheikh, Vice President Marketing, Mobilink while speaking to the
media elaborated that “Pakistan is a nation brimming with talented
individuals and organizations that have excelled beyond the call of duty.
Through our nation-wide campaign we hope to establish the country’s
largest-ever platform, to acknowledge and honor our nations best and
brightest.”
Submission of entries will be via an integrated automated entry system at
www.areyouahero.com.pk and a jury comprising of eminent and respected
citizens, will be the judges for this unique initiative.
Entries will close on 31st May and the final winners will be announced in
August 2008.● |
