Pakistani Coach gets Top Position in
International Athletics Course

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistani
coach, Nasrullah, has captured top position in a course held at Jakarta
(Indonesia) by world governing body of athletics, it was learnt here on
Saturday.
Nasrullah, national athletics coach of Pakistan currently employed by
Pakistan Sports Board, was declared the IAAF Youth Lecturer for Asia after
obtaining top position in the Youth Lecturers Course arranged by
International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) at Regional
Development Centre, Jakarta (Indonesia), from September 17-22.
The aims and objectives of the course were to select youth lecturers from
Asia, Nasrullah said on his return here on Saturday.
Regional Development Centre assessed the capabilities of the participants in
theoretical and practical subjects relating to athletics.
The selected lecturers will be nominated by IAAF to run the courses in
different Asian countries in future, he said.
Up to 18 young coaches from Asia took part in the six-day assessment course.
Holding M.Sc Physical Education degree, Nasrullah took second position in
IAAF Level-I coaching course in November 2004, hence qualifying for IAAF
Level-II coaching course.
Currently, Nasrullah is attached with the National Athletics Training Camp
for the forthcoming 2nd Asian Indoor Games.●
