Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat Visits Hospitals in Karachi

KARACHI: Governor Sindh, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan on Saturday night visited various hospitals in the metropolis and inquired after the health of those who had sustained injuries in the bomb blasts at Karsaz here.

He directed the doctors to provide best possible treatment facilities to the wounded.

Dr. Ishrat made it clear that the government would bear the treatment expenses of the injured and would be provided every possible treatment facilities.

He visited the injured which included journalists, police personnel and political workers, talked to them and inquired after their health.

Some of the injured apprised the Governor of details of the incident.

On the occasion, he also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.

Dr. Ishrat sympathised with the injured who were from outside Karachi and told them that they should not feel that they are alone.

He assured those who do not have money to return after recovery, the government would provide them money for the return journey.

The Governor announced that the injured would be given Rs. 25,000 each and those seriously wounded would be given Rs. 100,000 each.

Some of the injured hailing from Lyari appreciated the kind gesture of Dr. Ishrat to personaly inquire about their welfare.

Later, Dr. Ishrat said that assistance would be provided to the injured who would become disabled and cooperation would also be extended to their families.

He said that the provincial government is providing financial assistance from its own resources and that the Federal government would also be approached for the purpose.●
