Miscreants Hit Security Convoy in NW Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: A convoy of the Security Forces, heading towards Dittakhel from Miranshah, came under attack of miscreants at Boya, North Waziristan Agency, which resulted into minor injuries to five security personnel, said Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Waheed Arshad Thursday.

The DG ISPR said Improvised Devises (IDs) were used in the attack.

Taking prompt action, the security forces traced out the miscreants, who were trying to flee from the scene in two trucks and three cars, he said.

According to preliminary reports, 10 to 12 miscreants have been killed in retaliation of the security forces, the DG ISPR said.

Giving details of another incident, he said a group of 16 FC personnel, travelling from Jandola to Sararogha, South Wazristan Agency, is reportedly missing.●
