India Can’t Stifle Kashmiris’ Voice: Mirwaiz

Addressing a big gathering in Jamia mosque in Srinagar, today, the APHC
Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq pointed out that Indian state terrorism had
made the situation in occupied Kashmir volcanic.
He emphasized that India would not succeed in stifling Kashmiris’ voice of
freedom.
On the other hand, senior Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani was put
under house-arrest in Srinagar, today, by the occupation authorities to stop
him from leading a protest demonstrations at Lalchowk in Srinagar, reports
KMS.
Indian troops in their fresh acts of state terrorism destroyed four
residential houses with mortar shelling during a violent crackdown operation
at Midoora in Tral. Dead bodies of two innocent Kashmiri youth were
recovered from the debris.
People took to the streets in the area to protest the troops action. Another
three dead bodies, including one of a woman, were recovered from Surankot,
Jammu and Poonch.
In Bandipore town, several people were injured when Indian troops resorted
to the use of brute force through lathicharge and teargas shelling on a
peaceful protest demonstration against the illegal arrest of several
civilians including a shopkeeper by Indian troops.
A forceful protest demonstration was also held in downtown and Lal Chowk
areas of Srinagar against Indian troops stepped up incidents of human rights
violations.●
