‘Want No Quarrel with Sharif’, says Benazir

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's ex-Prime Minister Ms Benazir Bhutto said Monday that she does not want to pick up a row with Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Reacting to the allegation leveled by Sharif regarding the violation of Charter of Democracy (CoD), she said in Glasgow that she does not want to criticize Sharif, adding that the charter was not a legal document.

She reiterated her resolve to return home by September hoping that the elections will be held this year.

In connection with the possibility of next elections being fair and transparent, Ms Benazir said, ‘Nothing can be said regarding the fairness of the elections.’●
