'Safar-e-Azadi' Continues in India held-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (IHK): 'Safar-e-Azadi' (Journey for freedom) launched by Yasin Malik, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) is continuing as the convoy of the leader is moving from village to village to reach the people in India held-Kashmir.

According to Indian daily 'The Hindu', Yasin Malik visited 1,600 villages and towns in south and central Kashmir so far, passing through five districts of Kulgam, Shopian, Pulwama, Anantnag and Budgam. He addressed around 450 rallies.

The aim of the Kashmiri leader is to mobilize Kashmiris and to get their support for a “just and amicable solution to which people of the State should be primary party,”

According to the daily, 'Safar-e-Azadi' received tremendous support from Kashmiris since its start from south Kashmir on May 20.

The public rallies addressed by Yasin Malik and his companions continue till midnight with enthusiastic crowds holding lanterns. Women and children also participated in the rallies, the daily said.

During his speeches,Yasin Malik said security forces have killed hundreds of his workers. The people of Kashmir want immediate resolution of Kashmir dispute.●
