$20/ton Increase in Pakistani Irri-9 Price

ISLAMABAD: The price of Pakistani rice Irri went up by $20/ton in international market.

Talking to a private television channel, the exporters said that the price of Pakistani Irri-9 soared up to $355/ton after an addition of $20/ton.

It happened in the wake of considerable increase in demand of Pakistani rice and the less rice yields by all large rice-producing countries.

It was told that because of less crops, the exports of Irri-9 were just 1.3 million ton during the previous fiscal year.

Pakistan exports rice worth over $1 billion to the world including African, European and CIS countries as well as Middle Eastern countries.●
