ISLAMABAD: The four-match
Indian leg of the first-ever Pakistan-India volleyball series will start at
Vishakhapatnum (Andhra Pradesh) today, Tuesday.
The Pakistan leg of the series had ended in a 2-2 draw last month.
The two teams will play the remaining matches of the Indian leg at Hyderabad
(August 10), Roimbatoue (August 12) and Chennai (August 14).
Pakistan Squad for the second leg of the series: Muhammad Zaman Butt (Capt),
Irfan Nawaz, M.Tariq Waseem, Kashif Mansoor, Mohib Rasool, Naseer Ahmad, Ali
Abbas, Muhammad Farooq Khan, Bakhat Rasal, Shah Faisal, Sanaullah and
Muhammad Ismail khan.
Team officials: Zafar Abbas (chef de mission), Sardar Muhammad Khan
(assistant Nanager), Stefan G. Dimitrov (Chief Coach), Muhammad Akram
Chaudhry (Assistant Coach), Syed Najam Hussain (International Referee),
Muhammad Afzal (Control Committee Member).
Australia beat India in the final of Commonwealth Volleyball Championship at
Kolkata on Tuesday while Pakistan finished with bronze medal by beating
