Rescue Efforts Continue in Flood-hit areas of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Army Troops continued rescue and relief efforts in flood affected areas of Balochistan and Sindh on Friday.

In flood affected areas of Turbat, 6.5 tons of rations and 262 tents were distributed.

Over 6 tons of dry rations, 2,282 tents, 1,378 blankets and 2,140 mattresses were distributed in Nushki and Kharan. around 8.25 tons of rations were distributed in Usta Muhammad, whereas, 17.41 tons of rations were distributed in Dalbandin.

Some 11 tons of dry rations, 85 tents and 30 blankets were distributed in Lasbela. In Gawadar, one ton dry rations were distributed.

A total 30,601 tents, 3,141.68 tons of rations, 30,477 cartons of water bottles, 3,243 cartons of medicines, 54,600 blankets and 5,412 mattresses have so far been distributed among the flood affected people.

Around 68,525 patients have been provided medical treatment in a number of medical camps established at different parts of the flood affected areas.●
