SA Peace to be Ensured with Settlement of Kashmir Dispute: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz Thursday said that peace in the South Asia will be ensured with settlement of the Kashmir dispute in line with the wishes and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

He was talking to Chairman of the Kashmir Committee Hamid Nasir Chattha who called on him here at the Prime Minister House this afternoon.

The Prime Minister said that people of Pakistan will always stand by their Kashmiri brethren.

Shaukat Aziz appreciated the efforts of the Kashmir Committee in highlighting the Kashmir issue and explaining the position of the Kashmiri people and Pakistan to rest of the world.

They also discussed the current political situation and the party’s preparations for the upcoming general elections.

The Prime Minister said that the government is committed to holding free and fair elections in a transparent manner. He said all eligible people should be able to participate in the elections.●
