Pakistan Values Ties with
Brazil: Wasim Sajjad

ISLAMABAD: Leader of the
House in the Senate Wasim Sajjad, has said that Pakistan values its
relations with Brazil as tremendous scope existed for further augmenting
trade and economic ties and explore the potential areas for greater
collaboration in those sectors.
He expressed these views while talking to Gustavo Siqueira, Charge’d’
Affaris of Brazil in Pakistan, who called on him here this afternoon.
During the meeting wide range of subjects pertaining to the promotion of
bilateral commercial and trade ties came under discussion.
He urged the business community of both the countries to come forward and
benefit from the investment friendly policies being offered by the
respective governments.
Wasim underscored the need for exchange of delegations at different levels
particularly at parliamentary, students and business level to promote
bilateral ties.
The Leader of the House informed Gustavo about the working and performance
of the Upper House of the Pakistani Parliament and the useful role played by
it to speed up the process of legislation over the years.
Gustavo agreed with the observation of Wasim to forge ties in different
sectors and said Pakistan is playing a commendable role in the region and
that both the countries share identical views on various issues of
international significance.●
