One-window facilities for
expatriates seeking investment in business sector in AJK

MIRPUR (AJK): AJK Chief
Secretary Javeid Majeed has invited Pakistani and Kashmiri expatriates to
make investment in the business-sector in the fast-grooming industrial
district of Mirpur – where all required facilities would be available for
the entrepreneurs under one-window system.
“An oversees Kashmiris cell will be established soon in Azad Jammu Kashmir
for quick redressal of the grievances of the overseas people”, the CS
revealed.
He was speaking at a reception held under the auspices of a UK-based welfare
organization here late Monday. Besides local dignitaries, several
Britain-based overseas Kashmiris hailing from this district also attended
the ceremony.
Representative of overseas Kashmiris Nijabat Hussain on this occasion
presented welcome addresses and highlighted various problems confronted by
the overseas Kashmiris including lakhs of the Britain-based expatriates
belonging to Mirpur and other parts of this division.
The Chief Secretary said that the government was bent upon to resolve the
problems of the expatriates.
He said that all the genuine grievances of the overseas people vis-à-vis
their related matters, shall be addressed on priority grounds. He said that
fool proof system shall be introduced to resolve the problems of the
overseas people including lakhs of those hailing from this area.
The Chief Secretary said that since over 60 percent of the overseas
Kashmiris are affectees of Mangla dam, the government was bent upon to
resolve their problems. He said that all the genuine grievances of the
expatriates will be addressed.
He said that the government intended to set up latest educational
institutions exclusively for the children of overseas people hailing from
Azad Kashmir besides extending all possible required facilities and
incentives to those seeking to launch investment in the trade and industrial
fields in the area – where the required conducive atmosphere with latest
infrastructural facilities were already available.●
