DESPITE swiftly changing scenario in South Asia due to typical hideous mind-set of the New Delhi rulers, which has sometime blocked the process of Confidence Building Measures [CBMs] by putting off parleys between India and Pakistan for an invisible time, the chivalrous people of the Jammu & Kashmir State rejoice the Accession-to-Pakistan Day on July-19 with a fabulous resolve to affix their final destiny with Pakistan at all costs to transform the glorious visualization of the Quaid-e-Azam vis-à-vis the elegant state, flanked by the steadfast peaks of Himalaya into a perfect truth.

Spectacular rallies, inspiring seminars, pragmatic symposia and the hoisting of the prideful Pakistani flag atop each and every edifice is to be the hallmark of the day’s events all over Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and even beyond oceanic, wherever people with Kashmiri-origin are dwelling.

This is in deed a matchless characteristic of Kashmiris, who observe the occasion every year to reiterate their earnest belief about their outlook, austerely in line with the historic resolution which was adopted at a momentous session of their popular political party, the All Jammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference that took place on this day in Aabiguzar, a vicinity adjacent to famed Dal Lake in the dazzling city of Srinagar, 60-year ago.

As was envisioned, the resolution was instantaneously adopted with one-voice amid boom of slogans Allah-o-Akbar (God is Great) and Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan) by the partakers as well as a copious number of Kashmiris, camouflaging the venue of the moot.

This culminated into the establishment of Azad Kashmir as a base camp for the liberation of the rest of the State’s territory from the unjust Indian yoke.

This unanimous voice of the Kashmiri people, which is inscribed on a vivid banner with the glorious words; ‘Kashmir Banay Gaa Pakistan’ [Kashmir would be a part of Pakistan] is being carried forward with optimal resolve by the Kashmiris—having abode everywhere.

The Muslim Conference, now headed by its pragmatic and chivalrous Chief Sardar Atique Ahmed Khan, the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir who is a great political visionary by all parameters. Amid this reality, I feel optimistic that although a firm believer of ‘ground realities’, the young and energetic leader, blessed with unparallel inbuilt and inherited qualities shall continue to give impetus to this Day in a unique and magnificent style—explicitly when he has already attained the much-awaited and much-deserved reign of power in the liberated terrain, Azad Kashmir.

Whereas, the AJKMC is ruling the realm of Azad Kashmir, paradoxically, the stocky Information set-up of AJK has, in the yester-years been keeping an awful mum and did not bother even to issue any matter or stuff on the Kashmir Cause by disseminating even an elfin press release or any article on the historic event.

It even did not go for any special supplements in the print, electronic or E-media [newspaper being published on the web—Internet] not only to update the world on the trauma and ordeal of Kashmiris genocide, unleashed by India in the under duress held-part of the State but also stayed away from a vital facet to enlighten the new generation of the history of struggle for
freedom in Kashmir.

Instead, they opted to rest in cosy and comfy dwellings in Azad Kashmir or the majestic and marvellous Kashmir House in Islamabad. Simply, a joyride to the soothing and relaxing empires in the West—like UK and USA, both by the previous people-in-power including by the leaders of opposition in Azad Kashmir Assembly was—in no way a service to the Kashmir cause and such an allure would place them in an environ full of convolutions and complexities. So why not to go far an apposite course to foil and thwart, the nasty propaganda crusade, set-off by India to dupe and hoodwink the Orb vis-à-vis the sagacious and logical standpoint of Kashmiris?

As is known to all, the epoch of the 21st century is the era of media warfare whereby every pragmatic objective can be achieved — with the power of pen instead of a sword. As a matter of fact, the age of conventional war came to an end after the First World War which was followed by evaporation of a nuclear combat; the moment Hiroshima and Nagasaki were given toxic shots by nukes.

Overtly, then came in light, the style of onslaughts by using media, which has proved to be much-more potent, stout and strapping than any hefty gadget or device, of any kind.

Should we expect that the present government in AJK shall give a serious thought to this reality and would continue to mark the Accession to Pakistan Day by setting-up a Think Tank with every knowledgeable and clued-up person — irrespective of one’s political leaning — as its’ member. And would simultaneously compose journalists’ teams for dissemination all-over the world to counter the toxic Indian propaganda — in a big way.
