Seven Killed in Baghdad Car Bomb Blasts

BAGHDAD: Two car bombs detonated at road intersections in a busy neighbourhood of Baghdad on Wednesday, killing at least seven people and wounding 27, defence and medical officials said.

The twin blasts hit traffic in the Kadhimiyah district of north Baghdad.

A medical official in Kadhimiyah's main hospital, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the wounded were mainly men but that three women were among the victims of this latest apparently sectarian attack.●
