Pakistan name 20 Cricketers for Conditioning Camp

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) paid-selection committee Wednesday named 20 cricketers for conditioning and training camp.

The fortnight training camp is being conducted at Abbotabad from June 10 in preparations for tour to United Kingdom.

Names of the camp trainees were finalized after a meeting held under the Chairmanship of selection committee Salahuddin Ahmed.

Middle order batsmen Misbah-ul-Haq and Naved Latif were recalled in the camp while Imran Farhat's name is not included in the camp probables.

Camp will be supervised by panel of specialized coaches comprising Haroon Rasheed (batting coach), Aaqib Javed (bowling coach) and Mohtashim Rasheed (fielding coach). Camp will be held under the overall supervision of Pakistan's manager cum coach Talat Ali Malik.

Twenty players picked for training camp included Salman Butt,Imran Nazir, Muhammad Hafeez, Muhammad Yousuf, Yasir Hameed, Misbah-ul-Haq, Naved Latif, Faisal Iqbal, Asim Kamal, Fawad Alam, Shoaib Malik (Captain), Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzak, Kamran Akmal (wicket-keeper), Muhammad Asif, Shoaib Akhter, Muhammad Sami, Umar Gul, Rao Iftikhar Anjum and Najaf Shah.●
