Gas Pipeline Blown-up at Dera Bugti in SW Pakistan

DERA BUGTI: A gas pipeline was blown up in Balochistan’s district Dera Bugti disrupting gas supply to the purification plant, sources said.

Official sources said that some unknown persons had planted an explosive device at a gas pipeline of 16-inch diameter in Pirkoh. The pipeline was supplying the gas to the purification plant.

Many foots of pipeline was destroyed in the blast and the gas supply to the plant disconnected.

The officials of local administration and concerned departments reached the spot on receiving the information.

They said that the gas supply would be resumed as soon the pipeline is repaired.●
