Pakistan Cricket Board to approve Players
Contracts on June 17

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket
Board will approve the draft of players central contracts on June 17 at a
meeting of the ad-hoc committee in Bhurban,Murree.
A spokesman of the PCB said here on Tuesday that all the paper work has been
completed to finalise the players contracts which will be offered to players
based on their fitness and performance.
" There will be no compromise on these important aspects (fitness and
performance) and central contracts will ensure that each player must put in
his best while members of the team ",he added.
The spokesman said Chairman, PCB, Dr Nasim Ashraf held a number of meetings
with the officials of the PCB and decided a number of matters.
Giving update on various important issues, he said the National Selection
Committee will announce names of 20 players for the Abbottabad Camp on June
6.
The camp will start on June 10, 2007 and finish on June 24.
The final squad for the England Tour (ODIs against Scotland and India) will
be announced by the Selection Committee on June 16 at the completion of the
first week of the camp.The first match will be played on July 1 and second
on July 3 at Glasgow.
" The National Selection Committee will give names of 30 players to be sent
to ICC for the 20-twenty World Cup (South Africa, September 2007), as per
ICC requirement by the end of June ",he added.
He said those players, who are presently playing County Cricket with the
permission of PCB, will be eligible for selection as per the assessment
criteria of the National Selection Committee.●
