Pakistan Navy Ships Reach Shanghai amid Warm Welcome

SHANGHAI (China): Pakistan Navy Ships MOAWIN and BABUR were given very warm welcome upon arrival at Shanghai Port on Monday.

Rear Admiral PLA (NAVY) Wang Deding, Commander Shanghai Naval Base, Salman Bashir Ambassador of Pakistan at China and other high ranking officials of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and PLA (Navy) received the ships, Commander Pakistan Fleet Rear Admiral Noman Bashir who has flown from Pakistan as a senior representative of Pakistan Navy was also present.

Commander Pakistan Fleet called on Commander Eastern Sea Fleet (PLA (N) Rear Admiral Xu Hang.

The Ambassador hosted a reception in honour of the PN ships.

While talking to media, Commander Pakistan Fleet thanked the PLA (navy) for a very warm reception to PN ships and expressed his desire to have frequent high level contacts on Navy to Navy basis.

He also called on Shanghai Vice Executive Mayor Feng Guoqing.

During the meeting various aspects related to areas of mutual cooperation between the two brotherly countries were discussed.●
