Hottest Day in Indian occupied-Kashmir

SRINAGAR (IHK): In occupied
Kashmir, it was the hottest day and night of this season with the maximum
temperature in Srinagar recorded at 30.4 degrees Celsius, about eight
degrees above normal.
The minimum temperature stood at 15.1 degrees Celsius, about five degrees
above normal. Pahalgam and other hill resorts also witnessed rising
temperatures.
In Pahalgam, the maximum stood at 26.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum was
recorded at 9.7 degrees Celsius.
About half a dozen students of Burn Hall School here fell unconscious at the
morning assembly due to the sweltering heat.
Parents have urged various school authorities not to pro-long the assemblies
and change the school timings keeping in view the extreme weather
conditions.
The Met office said heat wave conditions prevailed in Jammu with the maximum
temperature being recorded at 38.1 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature in the winter capital of the state stood at 26.3
degrees Celsius.●
