India Urged to Engage in Meaningful Talks with Pakistan
'Pakistan Times' Kashmir Desk

JAMMU (IHK): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has urged India to shun its traditional rigidity and engage itself in a meaningful and result-oriented talks’ process with Pakistan to help resolve the Kashmir dispute once and for all.

He made the remarks while addressing a meeting of the party workers in Rajouri.

Mir observed that Pakistan President, General Pervez Musharraf, by floating his four-point formula to help resolve the dispute, had put the ball in India’s court and that now it was up to India to reciprocate.

Expressing grave concern over rising incidents of Indian state-terrorism and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat leader warned that this could jeopardise the dialogue process, reports Kashmir Media Service -- KMS.

The participants eulogized the unprecedented sacrifices of the Kashmiri martyrs including the prominent Hurriyat leaders Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone to the cause of the liberation movement.

It was vowed to take the martyrs’ mission to its logical end.●
