Training programmes on fisheries
in Pakistan from June-19

HYDERABAD: For imparting
training of latest methods of fish farming, Sindh Fisheries Department has
planned to organise training programmes in different districts of Sindh from
June 19.
A total of 87 selected fishermen will be invited to take part in the
training programme, the spokesman of the department informed.
He said these fishermen will get training at Chillia Fish Farm in district
Thatta, Mando Dero Fish Farm in district Sukkur, Dokri Fish Farm in district
Larkana and Boobak Fish Farm in district Jamshoro.
He informed that the fishermen of Hyderabad, Badin, Thatta, Sanghar,
Mirpurkhas and Nawabshah district will get training at Chillia Fish Farm
while training would be imparted to the fishermen of Naushero Feroz, Ghotki,
Sukkur and Khairpur districts at Mando Dero Fish Farm.
Similarly, the fishermen of Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Larkana districts will
be trained at Dokri Fish Farm Larkana and the fishermen of Jamshoro and Dadu
districts will receive training at Boobak Fish Farm.
The prime objective of launching the training programme is to promote fish
farming by introducing latest methods so that the fishermen of the province
could earn more income from the business, the spokesman informed.
He advised the interested fishermen to submit their application along with
photocopy of their National Identity Cards at the Directorate of Fisheries
Sindh Hyderabad.●
