Curfew Lifted after Talks at Tank in NW

TANK: A meeting of
45-member peace Jirga in restive northwestern town Tank was concluded here
on Sunday.
Later a meeting between local authorities and six-member committee decided
to end curfew in the town.
The 45-member peace committee in its maiden meeting made several important
decisions to improve public order in the area.
A member of the committee Senator Saleh Shah talking to Geo News said the
committee has decide to take substantial decisions to improve situation in
Tank.
The committee members will also meet with MMA leader Moulana Fazlur Rahman
tomorrow to discuss peace and stability in the area.
The Jirga constituted a committee to hold talks with the district
administration.
The members of the committee later hold meetings with DCO Syed Mohsin Shah
and area police officials and demanded restoration of traffic in the town
and release of the innocent people.
The meeting decided to end curfew in the town. Moreover, the meeting made
decision that DCO and SP Tank would also accompanied with the peace
committee for talks with Maulana Fazlur Rahman and DIG Zulfiqar Cheema in
Dera Ismail Khan today, Monday.●
