British HC Praises Pakistan Role
in War against Terror

ISLAMABAD: The British High
Commissioner Robert Brinkley Monday appreciated the leading role of Pakistan
in the international war against terrorism.
"Pakistan and Britain are coalition partner in the war against terrorism,"
he said this while talking to Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao
here at his office. He said both countries are enjoying cordial relations
and expressed hope it would grow stronger in future.
Interior Minister Sherpao said Pakistan being a front-line state in
international war against terrorism is playing its crucial role.
"Due to prudent policies of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister
Shaukat Aziz image of the country has improved all over the world."
Sherpao reiterated government's resolve to maintain law and order and said
all efforts and resources were being utilized for the purposes.
The Minister said due to economic friendly policies of the government the
country's economy is flourishing and leading investors are coming here to
invest in different sectors.
"Pakistan is a peace loving country and we will continue our efforts on all
international forums including UN for global peace," he said.
Sherpao extended gratitude to the British envoy for extending help in the
wake of October 2005 earthquake.
Earlier, Saudi envoy in Pakistan Ali Awadh Asseri called on Sherpao at his
office.●
