Pakistan SC Cause List Issued, Three Benches Constituted

ISLAMABAD: Cause list has been issued on Friday for the next week in Supreme Court, according to which three benches have been constituted.

According to cause list, 14-member full court will hear the constitutional petitions of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry and others on daily basis from May 14.

The first bench in cause list will comprise Acting Chief Justice Rana Bhagwandas and Justice Sardar Mohammed Raza Khan; second bench will have Justice Javed Iqbal and Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar; the third bench will hear the other similar constitutional petitions.

14-member full court bench will comprise Justice Khalilur Rehman Khan Ramdey (head), Justice Mohammed Nawaz Abbasi, Justice Faqeer Mohammed Khokhar, Justice Falak Sher, Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice M Javed Buttar, Justice Tasadduq Hussain Jilani, Justice Syed Saeed Ashhad, Justice Nasirul Mulk, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmed, Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Ahmed , Justice Syed Jamshed Ali , Justice Hamid Ali Mirza and Justice Ghulam Rabbani.

The constitutional petition of Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry against presidential reference has been given the first number to be heard.●
