Terrorists Will be Hunted Down Until End: Musharraf

ISLAMABAD: President General Pervez Musharraf has said that the war against terrorism would continue and the terrorists would be hounded until end.

President General Pervez Musharraf, presently on a visit abroad, while talking on phone to the Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao, told this.

The President enquired about the health of the interior minister and advised that all the necessary medical facilities should be provided to those injured in the Charsadda suicide bombing.

President General Pervez Musharraf told that Pakistan was playing a key-role in the war against terrorism and such dastardly acts of terrorists would not make any dent in our morale.

He said that the policy of underway operation against the terrorists would not be changed in any way. The war against terrorists would continue until their total extermination and they would be hunted down until end for giving them a defeat, he said.

Federal interior minister on this occasion apprised of the President about the headways made by the Joint Investigation Team and especially, the Investigation Cell of FIA.

Body Remains of Attacker


Meanwhile, according to another report, the preliminary investigation of Charsadda suicide attack has been completed.

A four-member Special Group of Investigation unit of FIA conducted the investigation, which revealed clues of Russian made bomb material and jacket used by the bomber.

The probe revealed that similar bomb-making material found on the incident site was also used earlier in Pakistan.

Government sources informed that the body remains of the suicide bomber have been sent for DNA test in Islamabad, while other materials found on the crime site were sent to laboratory for chemical tests.

Blast Victims


The death toll from a suicide bombing in Charsadda rose to 28 on Sunday as investigators attempted to identify the bomber who tried to kill the interior minister.

The names of some of the deceased are: Fazal Maula s/o Nadir Khan, Jahzeb, Private secretary Ahtisham s/o Fazal Maula, Isral s/o Syed Rehman, Zeeshan s/o Momin Khan, Raeess Allah s/o Roh Allah, Khayal Mohammad, Haji Sayyar Gul s/o Haji Mohammad Gul, Malaik Sardar Ali, s/o Ameer Mohammad, Nadir s/o Fakir Mohammad, Saleem Khan, Syed Rehman, Tehseen Allah s/o Habib Allah, Fazal Malik s/o Shamzor Khan, Tariq s/o Nazar Mohammad, Khalid Khan s/o Burhan Uddin, Mehboob s/o Shams Ali, Head constable Abdul Wakil s/o Munawwar Khan, constable Sajjad Shah from police station Tarnab, Saeed Allah s/o Fazal Subhan, Sherzaman s/o Ghulam Ghaus, Hasnat Ali s/o Nawab Ali, Noor Ali s/o Haji Abdul Ghaffar, Younis, Tauheed s/o Imdad Allah, Haji Kasim s/o Sawaal Fakir, Rashid Khan and Jafar Khan s/o Shamzoor Khan.●
