600-Acre Land Specified for Steel Market in Karachi

KARACHI: The city government has allotted 600 acres of land for steel market in its Karachi master plan.

Nazim Karachi Mustafa Kamal said Wednesday this while addressing a dinner party hosted by Karachi Iron and Steel Merchant Association.

City Nazim said that the traders and common men are facing hardships owing to the location of steel market in most populated area of the city, adding that the government has specified land at the entrance of city.

Mustafa Kamal said that in new master plan, 500 acres of land has been were allocated near National Highway and 100-acre land has been specified near Northern Bypass.

Nazim City said that the wholesale market situated in the heart of city would be moved towards the outskirts of city.

He said that an investment worth Rs1.20 billion came to Pakistan.●
