SRINAGAR (IHK): In occupied
Kashmir, forceful anti-India protest demonstrations were held in Srinagar,
Sopore and Bandipora.
A massive protest was held today at Nowpora in Srinagar against the
atrocities committed by the personnel of Indian Central Reserve Police Force
(CRPF), reports KMS.
The residents staged a sit-in on the road disrupting vehicular traffic for
hours. Residents told media men that the personnel don't allow people to
move freely and harass them regularly.
Another protest was held at Sopore town against the injuring of a civilian
by a speedy India Army vehicle deliberately at Main Chowk. Protesters told
media that the occupation forces had been playing with human lives with
reckless driving.
In Bandipora, people of Saderkote Bala staged anti-India protests. The
demonstrators told media men that over the past days troops have been
barging into the houses at Aloosa, Kolhama, Sunerwani and Chek Reshipora
while claiming themselves as Mujahideen.
Life came to halt at Lal Chowk when CRPF personnel resumed surprise
crackdown and detained five youth. Dead body of an abducted person Khursheed
Ahmed Gancho, (24) was recovered from the open fields of village Nowpora in
Awantipora.
Meanwhile, five persons including 3 boys and a woman were killed in road
accidents in Islamabad, Srinagar and Awantipora areas.●
