17.6pc Increase in Pakistan Oil Consumption

KARACHI: During the current year July-February, an increase of 17.6 per cent was recorded in the consumption of oil products.

According to Oil Companies Advisory Committee (OCAC) statistics, the consumption of furnace oil was seen at the highest 67 per cent during the eight months of current fiscal year.

Meantime, the maximum reduction was recorded in the consumption of jet fuel used in aircrafts which slumped by eight per cent.

The petrol consumption was also seen reduced by 6.30 per cent.●
