New Zealand’s Robin Reid wins Tour de Pakistan Cycle Race

RAWALPINDI: New Zealand cyclist Robin Reid won Tour de Pakistan cycle race on Saturday.

Pakistan’s Muhammad Asif won first position in local cyclists’ category.

Tour de Pakistan cycle race started from Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi on March 4th was concluded today at Chamkani in Peshawar.

New Zealand cyclist Robin Reid won the rally in 44 hours, 59 minutes and 33 seconds. His countryman Justin Kerr was overall second and Canadian Mathew Usborne won the third position.

In local cyclists category Muhammad Asif (Railways) won the first position, Ghulam Abbas (Army) was second and Dilsher Ali of Wapda remained third.

Wapda won the team event of the rally ahead of Army and Sui Southern Gas team was third from the top.

In the prize distribution ceremony after conclusion of the race, trophies and prizes were awarded to winners.●
