FIFA Chief to Visit Pakistan next Month

ISLAMABAD: The President of International Football Federation (FIFA), Sepp Blatter, will visit Pakistan next month.

This has been said by Federal Minister for Environment, Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat, who is also the President of Pakistan Football Federation.

The Minister announced a prize money of Rs. 1.5 million for the Pakistan team that won both legs of recent Olympic qualifying competition against superior-ranked Singapore.

Makhdoom Faisal, who met Blatter at Zurich (Singapore), said the FIFA chief had also promised PFF to provide artificial pitch of soccer to Pakistan free of cost.

Faisal expressed his delight that Pakistan was now among the few nations which will feature in the next round of Asian qualifying matches for the Beijing Olympics 2008.●
