Kasuri arrives Delhi for Talks on Indo-Pak Ties
'Pakistan Times' Diplomatic Desk

NEW DELHI (India): Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri Tuesday said he has come to India for improving relations and carry forward the peace process.

Kasuri, who arrived here on a four-day visit, told reporters that he looked forward to "fruitful discussions" with the Indian leadership.

The Pakistan Foreign Minister, who drove straight from the airport to the Safdarjang Hospital to meet Pakistani victims injured in the terror attack, said the blasts in the train near Panipat yesterday would only "add to the urgency" for cooperation between the two countries in fighting terrorism which is becoming a global phenomenon.

Kasuri, who will hold talks with External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee here tomorrow, said Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had agreed to set up a joint anti-terror mechanism.

"There is no doubt in my mind in saying that they meant exactly what they said when they took this decision," he said.
