Special Train with Heirs of
Pakistanis Leaves for India Today

LAHORE: A special train
carrying the relatives of the Shamjhota Express blasts’ dead and wounded
Pakistanis will be leaving today, Tuesday from Pakistan for taking them to
New Delhi.
A visa section has been set up at the Indian Airline Office located at the
Davis Road here for the issuance of visas to the deserving persons, where
they would be issued temporary visas.
Indian High Commission’s Assistant Counselor, M. K. Mustafa has arrived here
from Islamabad in this regard.
Pakistan Railway, on the other hand, has arranged a special train for the
transportation of the persons, who could obtain visas, while the train would
be leaving tomorrow.
India on Monday set up a temporary visa camp in Lahore to facilitate
immediate travel by the relatives of those killed or injured in the
Samjhauta train explosion. The visa camp was set up in Air India office at
Davis Road.
All arrangements have been made to issue visas on urgent basis to all the
relatives of victims of the train blast that killed 66 and injured many.
Temporary visas of 10 days will be issued immediately for the relatives of
the passengers who were either killed or injured in the incident so that
they could travel to the Indian side.●
