Fog covers Lahore, adjoining Areas of Punjab
Pakistan Times National News Desk

LAHORE: Lahore and adjoining areas were covered by thick fog Thursday morning affecting the road traffic and flights schedule.

Lahore Airport came under heavy fog and nothing can be seen at the distance of 50 meters. However, the visibility was comparatively better in the city.

According to the meteorological department Lahore centre, air moisture is the reason of fog and a rain spell, expected on Friday night, will end the fog.

The flights for Dubai, Damam, Manchester, Riyadh, Kuwait and Karachi at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport, were delayed due to poor visibility.

Motorway Police has stated that due to murky conditions nothing could be seen at the distance of over five meters in Kala Shah Kaku and those traveling on Motorway facing severe problems.

From Kala Shah Kaku to Faisalabad and Sargodha visibility has been reduced to 20 meters due to haze and vapor.

Motorway police has advised drivers to use fog lights and drive carefully.●
