Illicit Weapons with Narcotics Seized near
Dadayal in Azad Kashmir

MIRPUR (AJK): Police in
Azad Kashmir has busted most-wanted band of proclaimed offenders and
recovered huge quantity of illicit arms including a light machine gun, hand
grenades, Kalashnikovs, rifles of different sorts besides 57 kg of illicit
chars from the custody of two arrested notorious absconders from Bhaili
village in Dadayal town of Mirpur district of Azad Jammu Kashmir, police
said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Dadayal Raja Irfan Salim told 'Pakistan
Times' Saturday that police on an info raided the den of two most-wanted
proclaimed offenders – who are the real brothers namely Jahangir Akbar and
Aziz Akbar sons of Muhammad Akbar, residents of Bhaili village near Dadyal.
Resultantly the police seized huge quantity of sophisticated weapons of
lethal nature with 57 kg of chars from the custody of the cluster.
The recovered contrabands include a light machine gun, four hand grenades,
five Kalashnikovs, three rifles, three triple two rifles, one rifle 44-MM, a
short gun, five repeater guns, two 12-bore double barrel rifles, one 30-bore
rifle and 3500 cartridges besides seizure of two stolen vehicles, an
intercooler and a jeep as well as two motorcycles.
Led by DSP Irfan, the raiding police team was comprising Inspector Khawaja
Qayyum (SHO Dadayal Police Station), Sub Inspector Zaffar Haider Shah,
Assistant Sub Inspectors Javed Akhter and Javed ur Rehman and three head
constables including Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Tofeeque and Azher Mahmood.
The Sub Divisional Police Chief said that those have been caged were
required by the police in scores of heinous crimes including three murder
cases, act of dacoities and highway robbery and illicit trafficking of
contraband drugs.
Irfan said a thorough probe has been ordered as a lead to unearth the
mysterious gang by registering case against all those arrested under section
13-20-65 arms act and ¾ drug act.●
