Blast reported in Rawalpindi Food Street in Pakistan

RAWALPINDI: Police sources confirmed that a blast occurred in Rawalpindi Food Street.

According to eye-witnesses, a rocket, which lay buried here in the incident of Ojhri Camp Tragedy in 1988, went off when it was hit.

Some excavation work was underway in food street, when all of a sudden, a blast occurred. It is being told that a rocket which was fired among others in 1988, was lying underground.

According to DIG Rawalpindi, four people were injured and have been taken to hospital where they have been taken to hospital. One of the injured has been discharged also.●
