Pakistan Times Business & Commerce Desk

KARACHI: An increase of more than 125 basis points in inter-bank offered rate (kibor) was recorded owing to the strict monetary policy of State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).

According to statistics, an increase of 134 basis points was observed at kibor from February 1st 2006 to February 1st 2007.

One year back on February 1st 2006, six-month kibor was 9.21 per cent, which increased to 10.55 per cent on February 1st 2007.
